Community Initiatives

Driving meaningful change through initiatives that empower, connect, and strengthen communities from within.

National Symposium on Women’s Safety

Veeravratam Foundation co-hosted the NHRC’s National Symposium on Women’s Safety in Mysuru-bringing a national dialogue to a tier-II city for the very first time. The gathering convened a powerful collective of voices across governance, law enforcement, and civil society to address strengthening safety in workplaces and public spaces.

Through dialogue, reflection, and shared responsibility, it underscored the urgency of gender sensitisation and robust legal implementation.

Key Participants: Led by NHRC Chairperson Vijaya Bharathi Sayani, alongside Ajay Bhatnagar, Joginder Singh, Seema Latkar, T. Muralidhar Bhagavat, Dr. Sridevi Annapurna Singh, Chaya Nanjappa, and S.A. Ramdas.
Empowering Farmers Beyond Borders

Crossing geographies, we convened two international symposiums designed to empower small farmers through technology and knowledge. These platforms became spaces where grassroots realities intersected with global innovation, bringing together leaders from banking, agriculture, and healthcare.

Women Rising: Confidence & Opportunity

In Mysuru, a movement took shape rooted in independence. With over 500 tribal women in attendance alongside community leaders, "Women Rising" created a space for women to recognise their own agency and translate shared ambition into tangible pathways.

Cultural Discourse
Unfolding Ideas, Inspiring Minds

In collaboration with the Hindu Economic Forum (Mysuru Chapter), we hosted a literary gathering celebrating the launch of The Hindu Manifesto. It was a convergence of ideas where dialogue became a catalyst for deeper understanding and renewed perspective on heritage and society.

From Surplus to Sustenance

In rural Assam, small farmers often face heavy losses due to surplus produce. Veeravratam Foundation addressed this by helping farmers convert excess fruits and vegetables into value-added products like pickles, preserves, pulps, and dried goods.

The focus was not on growing more, but on wasting less.

Through locally adaptable training in processing, hygiene, and packaging, farmers extend shelf life and access wider markets, building more resilient livelihoods.

From Capability to Opportunity

In collaboration with Kodagu University, we conducted workshops on skills development to prepare students for opportunities beyond the classroom. Focusing on practical communication and workplace readiness, the sessions helped students become industry-ready professionals.

The Shift from Local to Limitless

Over 100 entrepreneurs from Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Mangaluru joined a focused learning experience led by Veeravratam and Walmart Vriddhi. By introducing Flipkart onboarding and export fundamentals, what once stayed within neighbourhoods is now finding a direction toward global shelves.
