Veeravratam Foundation did not begin in a boardroom. It began in a village in Karnataka, with a woman who had very little and built something the world noticed. That story is still the compass for everything we do.
Registered in Karnataka, India. Supported by two decades of ground-level enterprise experience. Led by women. Built for all.
In 2007, Mrs. Chayaa Nanjappa Rajappa-a first-generation entrepreneur from Coorg-began with an unwavering belief: that rural communities were creating immense value, yet receiving almost nothing in return.
She called it Nectar Fresh. Alongside her husband, Mr. Kuppanda Rajappa Muthanna, the enterprise evolved into one of India’s largest buyers of wild honey, earning the trust of global institutions like Marriott, ITC, and Walmart.
Yet, a deeper realization emerged: the absence of rural artisans from the mainstream economy was not a reflection of worth-but of access.
A recipient of the NITI Aayog Women Transforming India Award, Mrs. Chayaa Nanjappa Rajappa brings everything she has learned about building a legacy to the Veeravratam Foundation-offering others the support she once wished for herself.
